The Things That Define Us is a ongoing series of articles and posts (e.g. blog) about the objects, technologies and and environments with which we surround ourselves, why we select these artifacts, and how we are effected by their presence in our lives. Everyday we select tools to accomplish our work, furnishings to decorate our homes, and endless new technologies to advance our existence.
Often, however, we give very little thought as to how these items may change our behavior, thoughts and emotions. My hope is to promote a thoughtful dialogue on what we choose (and why), and how these things may (or may not) improve our lives.
This is my first foray into blogging so I reserve the right to edit or delete any existing articles as friends and family provide constructive criticism. I also reserve the right to remove this paragraph once the blog is nominated for a Pulitzer Prize.
